The Ottawa Charge and Toronto Sceptres battle once again and something tells me, this is going to be a real slobber-knocker. Looking back, these teams have been trading punches throughout the season with Toronto holding a faint advantage, winning 3 out of the 5 matchups. But hey, who's counting?
Okay, I am. It's my job. Now, looking at their seasons as a whole, both teams are mirroring each other like synchronized swimmers, or maybe dance moms, each with an identical 12 wins. Sceptres managed to still couple more victories from the jaws of overtime, but let's be honest, in the world of sports, a win is a win.
Recently though, the Charge has had their share of, let's call them 'hiccups', with two losses in their latest five outings. Meanwhile, the Sceptres have been showing a spunkier side, losing just once in their last five. Was it something in their breakfast cereal? Probably not, but you got to admire that grit.
In conclusion, while there's a strong sensation in my gut telling me this battle could go either way, the Sceptres seem to have the wind, momentum, and a slight edge in their history books going for them. I'm confident, or slightly confident, or at least pretending to be confident that they will pull off a narrow win. It won't be a shutout, but just enough to hear the victory anthem echo in the Toronto night air.
