Montreal Victoire by 1Ah, the joys of ice and skates! Montreal Victoire are heading down to the frosty realms of Minnesota, attempting to make a chilling comeback at the Frost’s home rink. With previous encounters that are akin to a firefly’s dance- a little bit of this and a lot of that- the two teams don't have much separating them. Generally, the Victoire have managed to edge out the Frost on more occasions than not, evidencing some semblance of dominance which may or may not come to light tonight.
The season record hardly sings a different tune. The Victoire are sitting slightly prettier with three extra wins in the bag, though you may argue the Frost has been dealt some cold hands and their losses could just be down to bad luck or wicked east winds.
Diving into recent results, both teams have shown inconsistency, managing to illuminate some sparks but often getting extinguished rather routinely. The Victoire are on a slippery slope with a three-game losing streak, yet the Frost are also frozen in their tracks with a couple of recent losses themselves.
So, who will emerge victorious in this chilly showdown? If I were a betting man, which I absolutely am not (I’ve lost my shirt enough times to know better), I'd be placing my imaginary dollars on the Victoire pulling it off but with a margin so slim it would make your dieting grandmother shiver in envy.
