Montreal Victoire by 1Alright, let's take a look at this interesting matchup, shall we? Montreal Victoire is visiting the Ottawa Charge for what seems like a duel of the fittest.
The Victoire enter the ice rink with a pretty solid record of 9-3-1-3 compared to the Charge's 6-0-4-8. More notably, Montreal has a regular habit of showing Ottawa who's boss, having won all of their past five face-offs. Montreal appears to use Ottawa as their favorite whipping boy, and they're not shy about it.
Now, recent performance does add a little spice to this encounter. The Victoire were absolutely frozen out by the Minnesota Frost recently, possibly dinging their confidence a tad. Ottawa, on the flip side, has been somewhat inconsistent, but they did manage to slap the Frost around for an 8-3 win not too long ago. Evidently, they're not always the tragic underdogs they're made out to be.
However, despite that little confidence booster for Ottawa, the charge seems to fizzle out when faced with Montreal. It seems the Victoire don't just have Ottawa’s number; they've got it, saved it, and set a custom ringtone for it.
So, with all things considered, the smart money would be on Montreal, yet again teaching Ottawa some lessons in hockey. I'm going to say they'll squeak by with just a one goal margin, as Ottawa has lately shown some bite. That's right folks, the Charge might just keep it fairly close this time. Who knows, hockey is a funny old game.
