Here's how I see it. Manchester United has André Onana tending the goal. He's done a commendable job with a 6.30 rating and 12 saves, but it is a bit concerning that they're relying so heavily on one guy. Meanwhile, Liverpool have Alisson with a nice 6.60 rating, along with Kelleher as backup.
Moving on to key players, Manchester United's got the exciting talents of Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes. Fernandes has been making a habit of finding the net, and Diallo's passing has been terrific. However, Manuel Ugarte and Lisandro Martínez, despite their good ratings, haven't produced any goals yet.
On the Liverpool side, we have Mohamed Salah who is pretty outspoken with his play. Guy has 6 goals and 12 shots on goal to his name this season till now. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alexis Mac Allister have also been performing admirably. Trent and Mac have managed both, to score and to maintain commendably high pass accuracy rate.
In regards to past matchups, out of the last four, Liverpool has managed to snatch one big victor, while Manchester United is yet to secure a win. The most recent was a 3 - 0 win for Liverpool, so they've got the upper hand in recent history.
Now, don't get me started on the regular season records. Liverpool's scorecard reads like a Christmas list: 14 wins, 3 draws and a measly 1 loss. Manchester United, on the other hand, has been stuck in the naughty corner with just 6 wins, 4 draws, and an astonishing 9 losses.
Looking at recent results, Manchester United seems to be stuck in the mud with three continuous losses in a row. Liverpool, the beasts that they are, smashed 5 past West Ham recently and drown Leicester City with a 3 - 1 victory.
In conclusion, it's going to be a crimson day at the stadium, and I am not talking about United's jersey color. Very sorry for fans of the red devils, but expecting a win here would require a level of optimism that even I, as an undying professional optimist, can't muster.
