Washington Capitals by 2Alright, let's dive into this hockey action, folks. We've got the Washington Capitals facing off against the Carolina Hurricanes in what's shaping up to be a real barnburner of a game.
Starting between the pipes, for the Capitals we've got Logan Thompson who has been on fire this playoff series, boasting a whopping 93.1% save percentage. His counterpart tonight will be Frederik Andersen, who's not too shabby himself with a cool 93.0 save percentage in the playoffs.
Over on the offensive side of things, the Washington boys are looking deadly. Just take a peek at Dylan Strome, Tom Wilson, and Connor McMichael. They're ripping up the ice out there, boasting quite the impressive array of playoff goals and assists. Toss Alex Ovechkin, the Russian machine that never breaks, into the mix and it's a tough lineup to beat.

Keep in mind that Washington, while sitting pretty as the top team in the Eastern Conference, hasn’t got an easy foe in the Hurricanes, who clinch a respectable #4 position in the same conference. So, don’t count those stubborn Canes out yet.
If we talk series records, both these teams just demolished their previous round opposition 4-1. So, there’s a hunger in both camps. The series is currently tied, adding some extra zing to game 3.
