Colorado Avalanche by 2So, we're wasting no time and jumping right into the fray. Looking back at Game 4, Colorado Avalanche came down like an, well, avalanche on Dallas Stars, burying them 4-0. But if we zoom out and see the bigger picture, Dallas has been clawing tooth and nail in this series, keeping it real interesting.
Between the pipes, Colorado’s Mackenzie Blackwood has been rock solid and has made more playoff saves than a cat has lives. His save percentage sneezes at Dallas’ Jake Oettinger’s. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Dallas’ backup goalie Casey DeSmith, though sporadically used, has managed a decent save percentage. But ladies and gentlemen, is it enough to stop this Colorado juggernaut? Doubtful.
Now let's focus on the heavy artillery. Nathan MacKinnon’s a one-man army for Colorado, armed and loaded this playoff season. However, the Stars aren’t complete pushovers with Thomas Harley showing an impressive playoff balance sheet. Chip in Tyler Seguin's contribution and Dallas sure do have some hope.
Boiling down the regular season records, Dallas wins by an eyelash. But hello, we're interested in recent brilliance. Colorado owns the current playoff series round and the recent results reveal a lot of Colorado victories all over Dallas. In the words of Sherlock Holmes, 'the game is afoot'.
Taking into account all these lively details along with the mysterious spread and payout data that would make even a cryptographer scratch his head, here is my prediction.
