Louisiana Tech Bulldogs by 11
Well strap on your helmets and buckle those chinstraps, we've got the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs snarling their way over to the grounds of the New Mexico State Aggies.
Now, let's talk some sense. Despite New Mexico's past luck against the Bulldogs back in 2023, these teams seems to have taken separate paths. Bulldogs are consistent, if not stellar, on the field, holding a 2-3 record. Nothing to write home about but significantly better than the Aggies' less than stellar 1-5 for the season.
Our recent Aggie encounters indicate a team that's barely able to keep its head above water. Most recent humiliation, a 54-13 drubbing from the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Bulldogs, on the other hand, seem to be waking up, fresh out of hibernation, if the 48-21 victory over Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders is any indication.
Taking a gander at the quarterback lineup, Bulldogs' Evan Bullock has been quite the revelation, boasting 557 passing yards and 6 TDs in the last month alone. Even their second string QB, Jack Turner isn't half bad. Over at the Aggies, well, Santino Marucci's stats read like a lukewarm latte – not impressing anyone with a passing efficiency of 84.2 and just 2 TDs. And don't get me started on Deuce Hogan, more goose than eagle in my humble opinion.
For offensive maneuvers, the Bulldogs have Tru Edwards and Omiri Wiggins, who tacked up an impressive 335 and 147 yards respectively in their last month's outings. The Aggies have Seth McGowan and Mike Washington grappling to keep proceedings afloat, but sadly their struggle didn't translate to enough touchdowns, or wins for their team.
Defensively, Zach Zimos with his 22 tackles has been a lodestar for the Bulldogs, supported fully by DeMarcus Griffin Taylor and Blake Thompson. The Aggies enjoy the services of Tyler Martinez, who might be a star player if only he could carry the entire team on his shoulders.
Given all these factors… drum roll please... it's going down, friends:
