Minnesota Timberwolves by 12The latest tango on the parquet floor is between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves in game 5 of the Conference Semis.
First, let's put this under the microscope. The high-octane Timberwolves are showing their fangs this series, hiking up the hill with a 3-1 lead over the Warriors. Their latest face-offs have certainly exhibited Minnesota's prowess, winning 3 out of 4 recent games. The good ole' days of the golden dynasty seem a little tarnished now, don't they?
Even looking at the player stats, Minnesota's wolves appear fiercer. Anthony Edwards is scoring like there's no tomorrow, with an grand average of 27 points per game. You know what, let's just add Julius Randle who's been scoring 23.3 points per game, and Jaden McDaniels with his 15.6 points for good measure. Man, this is a buffet of baskets that the Wolves are serving!
On the Warriors' side, I don't want to ignore their battle-hardened veterans. Stephen Curry, always a sight to see, has been swishing 24.7 points per game this season, not forgetting Jimmy Butler putting in a considerable effort with 19.4 points in playoff. However, when it comes to previous playoff series records, the Wolves come out on top by a hair, successfully on the hunt in their last series against the Lakers.
Oh, just a sidenote: Timberwolves clinched above Warriors in the regular season standing. ‘Another one bites the dust’, or rather, should I say, another situation favoring the Wolves.
So, my friends, when you pour everything into a pot and stir it up, we end up with a pretty clear soup. Here's my two cents - I think it's gonna be another wolf's night.
