Looking at the matchups, Los Angeles FC will be leaning on their goalie duo, Hugo Lloris and Thomas Hasal, whom we can't ignore have been reasonably effective, however, they got nothing on CJ dos Santos from San Diego FC who is doing some acrobatic sorcery with a 7.13 rating and a whopping 12 saves.
The players' lineup is quite robust for both teams, but some individuals need to be highlighted. For the Los Angeles FC, we see Aaron Long, Nkosi Tafari, and David Martínez Morales stepping up their game. Long's 93.5% accurate pass score and Morales's 2 goals just scream "don't take your eyes off of me", despite Tafari's attempts to fade into the background.
Moving onto San Diego FC, the trio of Anders Dreyer, Jeppe Tverskov, and Onni Valakari is quite intriguing. Dreyer and Valakari have managed to put the ball into the net and, not to mention, Dreyer's 5 shots on goal is quite the spectacle. Also, Tverskov with a 7.53 rating and an 89.6% has proven to be a critical piece in the puzzle.
Season records and recent results, oh boy, they do tell a story. Los Angeles FC holds a fairly respectable 3-0-2 record, including some impressive recent wins, but San Diego FC lags slightly behind with a lukewarm 2-2-1. In terms of recent games, Los Angeles FC had a somewhat inconsistent run with a couple bad beats, while San Diego FC has shown some decent form but also a few stumbles.
So, placing these all into the ol' prediction blender, my money is leaning towards San Diego FC. Although, Los Angeles FC might put up a pesky fight, but that's just going to make the victory sweeter. And since I don't do fractions...
