DC United by 1Look who's got the ball - it's DC United and Columbus Crew squaring off on the soccer field. Saddle up!
Columbus Crew have rock solid-men between the sticks with Patrick Schulte and Evan Bush, both holding respectable ratings of 7.50 and 7.00 respectively. DC United's Jun-hong Kim, however, brings a bit of flavor to the dish with a 6.68 rating. Not as impressive, but still no slouch.
On the field, Columbus Crew's Yevhen Cheberko and Dylan Chambost have been on fire this season, sporting ratings of 7.60 and 7.40 respectively. Not far behind, we find Marcelo Herrera with a 7.40 rating.
Okay, hold your horses; DC United's not out of this just yet. Taking the reins for them we have Christian Benteke with a 7.40 rating, closely followed by Aaron Herrera at 7.10. Raise your glass to Kye Rowles as well, clocking in at 7.03.
When reflecting on the past, these two teams have had some close encounters. Last four face-offs show a draw, a draw, a Columbus Crew victory and, guess what, another Columbus Crew victory. Who needs a memory lane when it's a tightrope walk, right?
Looking at the regular season records, Columbus Crew has been the more successful horse so far, going 2-3-0, while D.C. United limps behind at 1-3-1.
Columbus Crew's recent results aren't anything to write home about – our pen would run out of ink counting the zeros. DC United's performances, though, haven't set the world on fire either, but an Orion's belt of wins and draws in the last five games reflect a wee bit of spark.
My prediction for this one? This match's about as predictable as a cat on a hot tin roof, but if you push me for one:
