My Prediction
Lens by 1Ah, la belle France and the incessant rivalry between Nantes and Lens, it's a story as old as brie. The royals of the north, Lens, seem to have gained the upper hand in the recent showdowns, having swept Nantes under their red and gold rug in the last 3 battles. And it's hardly surprising, considering how well they've been performing this season with a considerably better record.
Keeping the goal safe, Mathew Ryan and Hervé Koffi have pinned up their DO NOT DISTURB signs for Lens. Nantes replies with Anthony Lopes, who has been pulling off more saves than a superhero workaholic, but sometimes, my friends, even superheroes can't save everything.
On the Lens side, Przemysław Frankowski has been delivering a performance more striking than his name. Facundo Medina, and Adrien Thomasson have been filling in the blanks quite well. A special shoutout to Neil El Aynaoui, who is as effective in passing as a postman carrying love letters.
For Nantes, Moses Simon, Pedro Chirivella, and goal-scorer Matthis Abline were seen doing the heavy lifting in recent matches. Good workers they are, but the question remains, can they lift their team over the Lens hurdle?
Considering the recent form - Lens stumbles a bit with a couple of losses, and Nantes is still spinning after that knockout punch from AS Monaco - this game might be more of a stumble battle than a wall clash.
