Real Betis by 1Well, if you're a fan of Atlético Madrid, you might want to infuse some optimism into your cup of morning coffee. They might be favored according to the bookmakers, but we all know that numbers can't kick a football around La Liga.
In the posts, we've got the saving grace, Jan Oblak for Atlético Madrid, rated at a fine 7.12 and some serious glove talent with 10 saves on his card. We've been hearing a lot about the cat-like reflexes of Real Betis' Adrián, too, rated at 7.18 with a whopping 20 saves. Amazing what those goalkeepers do, isn't it?
Now, let's talk about the vanguards of both teams. Real Betis is bringing their A-game with the likes of Isco, Cucho Hernández, and Antony, their ratings resembling my early morning coffee-to-sugar ratio - pretty exceptional. And then there's Atlético Madrid's Clément Lenglet and Alexander Sørloth, boasting numbers that would put most of us to shame. I'd wager Sørloth's five goals might make for an interesting show.
From their past, these teams look like divorced couples with bittersweet memories. A look at their previous meetings suggests less love for Atlético Madrid, although they did save face with a 2:1 win. But let's face it - history doesn't kick that ball.
