Real Madrid by 3Oh, what a lovely day for some LaLiga action! On our docket today, we've got Real Madrid tangling with Leganés. Madrid appears mighty, but Leganés can surprise you when your guard's down.
Real Madrid seems well-armored in front of the net with Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin splitting goalkeeping duties. Courtois is potentially out, which could rattle their structure. Leganés' net is defended by Marko Dmitrović.
Madrid's star players lead the charge, with the exceptional Kylian Mbappé and the seasoned Luka Modrić supplementing Real's attacking prowess. Federico Valverde also offers a solid presence on the field. A couple of cricks in the leg for Militão, Mendy, and Fran García may slow down Madrid slightly, but not completely.
Leganés' lineup is punctuated by Dani Raba and Renato Tapia, despite Raba being doubtful due to a minor knock. Valentin Rosier and Diego Garcia, also doubtful, lend an extra bit of gusto to the squad though Leganés will miss Barišić and Franquesa today.
In the past, Real Madrid has shown dominance, handily beating Leganés in their last match-up. Madrid’s regular season record also towers over Leganés, displaying more consistency and a knack for pulling through tight situations. However, the recent hiccup against Real Betis might set back Madrid's momentum slightly.
As for Leganés, they're a bit all over the place. Winning one, losing three, and ending one in a draw in their last five games doesn’t build a skyscraper of confidence but let's remember, surprises are everyday business in football.
All considered, it doesn't take Nostradamus to call this one.
