My Prediction
Getafe by 1Talk about a clash of titans, or at least mid-table mammoths. Getafe will face off against the evergreen Real Betis in what might very well be a meeting of equals, mirroring their regular season records of 7-9-8 and 8-8-8 respectively. Past matchups have been a see-saw exchange with wink-and-you'll-miss-it action, tight enough to make a miser sweat!
Now in order to have a good dish, you gotta have your core ingredients, right? For Getafe, the key names are goalkeeper David Soria who's boasted a rating of 7.55 with 11 saves and top players who are putting in shifts, like Diego Rico and Christantus Uche. It's a solid squad, nothing flashy, just a bunch of workhorses. Betis, on the other hand, is more of the Châteaubriand of the equation, with keeper Adrián making 8 saves with a commendable 6.85 rating, and the likes of Antony and Sergio Arribas strutting their stuff beautifully on the field.
Now, when it comes to the recent run of form, the pendulum seems to tilt a smidge towards Getafe who've managed to keep their bunker bunker-buster proof with an undefeated streak whereas Betis seem to have dropped points in a hair-pulling encounter against Celta Vigo and a home shocker against Deportivo Alavés.
So, taking these figures into accounts, my money, metaphorically speaking, is on Getafe pulling a close one over Betis. Although, knowing LaLiga, anything's possible and I wouldn't bet my beautiful commentator's hairpiece on it!
