Bayern Munich by 2Ah, here we are again, diving into the world of Euroleague basketball! And we have a sizzling one on our hands with KK Crvena zvezda taking a little trip to chase the bouncing ball with Bayern Munich.
Crvena zvezda, sitting pretty at the #5 spot in the Euroleague, is bringing the heat - I tell you, the heat. Big Filip Petrusev is standing tall with, on average, a respectable 12.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season. Joel Bolomboy, too, is proving he's not just there to fill a jersey, consistently logging decent numbers across the board. Don't forget about Codi Miller-McIntyre, who've been dishing out assists like free candy, with a respectable 4.9 assists per game this season.
But over on the Munich side of the court, the story seems a little different. They've got Carsen Edwards who, I must say, is lighting up the board like a Christmas tree with an impressive 19.6 points per game this season. And fellow teammate Andreas Obst has been dropping those baskets with a sweet 14.7 points per game last month. Let's hope for their sake, that he hasn't exhausted his scoring spell.
Now, if we want to revisit the past, and who doesn't love a bit of nostalgia, Crvena zvezda did a bit of damage in their last encounter, outscoring Munich by a solid 24 points. But listen, that was 2019, and we've got a whole new ball game on our hands.
Furthermore, as far as regular season win-loss records are concerned, both teams stand at an even keel, sharing scorecards with 16 wins and 11 losses. A divine coincidence, if you ask me.
Recently, Crvena didn't have a celebration party when they went up against Žalgiris, taking an L with a 6-point deficit. Munich, on the other hand, had a five-point setback against Paris, a game I'm sure they wish they could do over.
With the #5 and #6 positions in the Euroleague in play, it feels like we're settled in for a neck and neck race folks.
