Feyenoord by 2Alright folks—I mean, let's jump into this, shall we? We're looking at a real David and Goliath situation here with Feyenoord and PEC Zwolle. Right off the bat, the stats pretty much cock an eyebrow and say, "are you serious?"
Both goalkeepers, Timon Wellenreuther of Feyenoord and Jasper Schendelaar of PEC Zwolle give us little, if anything to choose between them. But look at the firepower Feyenoord has in their arsenal. A quick glance at the roster, and you can see players like Igor Paixão, Jamming in the goals, 3 in the last month alone. Jakub Moder, the same deal, 3 coming from him.
Now, we don't want to dismiss PEC Zwolle out of hand, because honestly, Simon Graves Jensen and Filip Krastev are doing their best out there, but calling them a scoring threat might be going too far.
Going head-to-head, in the rearview mirror, PEC Zwolle would need a time machine to make this a fair fight. Haha. The last few rounds? All Feyenoord, no question. Both side's recent form? Feyenoord singer Bobby Darin's classic "Beyond The Sea" might as well be the team's anthem, these guys have been cruising, smooth sailing all the way, while PEC Zwolle...well, someone forgot to pack their water wings.
And then, there's the regular season record. But honestly, by now, that's just rubbing salt in the wound if you're a Zwolle fan. So, for heaven's sake, don't put your money on PEC Zwolle. There are safer bets, like running into traffic.
