Leicester Tigers by 22Now, if we take a peek at this veritable Monument of a matchup between the Leicester Tigers and the Newcastle Falcons, you'd have to be about as blind as a bat in daylight to not see the glaringly obvious.
The Leicester Tigers have been stomping around the Premiership like they own the place. Look at those recent results. Saracens and the Sale Sharks were basically left in the dust. Ouch. Now, the Tiger's recent dip against Bath Rugby might raise some eyebrows, but let's be real, even the best have their off days.
On the other hand, the Newcastle Falcons seem to be engaged in a passionate affair with Lady Misfortune. Losing to Saracens, Bath, Gloucester... The list reads like a honor roll of defeat. Not to mention the Falcons encounter with the Tigers in the last 5 meet-ups has been decidedly one-sided. It almost makes you want to send them a sympathy card. Almost.
Their position in the standings? #10. It looks like they need a find new altitude folks. No flights in sight for these grounded birds. It's just not their season.
Round 8 isn't going to bring any divine miracles either, because if the Tigers maintain their merciless prowess, even the almighty could barely salvage a win here for the Falcons.
