Saracens by 7And here we are again, folks... you may think you're getting a rerun, but I promise you it's not a glitch. We've got Saracens set to challenge Gloucester Rugby, two teams that probably know each other's game strategies as well as they know the smell of their own team locker rooms! Round 8 of the regular season, and it's déjà vu all over again.
Drilling down into the historical faceoffs these teams have had, it appears Saracens pretty much have the upper hand. Most of their past meetings seem to lean quite heavily toward the Saracens' favor. But hey, history is just a records of the past, right?
Looking at the regular season records, both Saracens and Gloucester Rugby stand at a very average 7-6. Just goes to show folks, even mediocre home cooking can earn you a spot in the top half of the leaderboard.
Peeling back the layers on the recent performances, it seems that Gloucester had a more impressive victory against Bristol Bears. Saracens, on the other hand, somehow managed to squeak by Leicester Tigers, albeit by a hair's breadth. Hmm... Maybe Gloucester's luck with Bears is a sign? Don't go buying your lucky bear foot yet.
