Bristol Bears by 7So, it's early days in the season and we're staring at an exciting match-up between Gloucester Rugby and Bristol Bears. Right off the bat, let's acknowledge the titanic clash we had last season where Gloucester managed to outscore Bristol by a narrow margin. Now, isn't that a delightful twist, given Bristol's current higher standing and a better win-loss record from the last season.
But rest assured, my friends, past laurels don't win you current battles and the Bears understand it pretty well. They've been munching down their opponents recently with scores akin to my golf handicap. Them bears pack a punch!
Compare it to Gloucester's rather lukewarm run lately, it kind of looks like they've been having their tea parties a bit too relaxing.
Even in the head-to-head encounters, Bristol Bears have had the upper hand recently. I'd say Gloucester might need to pray for a snowstorm to slow down the bear onslaught.
So if we're placing bets, like on how long I could keep my job given my dry sense of humor, I would speculate Bristol to come out on top with a comfortable margin. But hey, it's sports, and you never know when the nice guys decide to finish last.
