Ah, another classic matchup in our great northern league. The BC Lions are prowling into Hamilton land to stare down the Tiger-Cats, and the fur's about to fly, my friends.
Looking back at past skirmishes, we see things have been tighter than a miser's purse strings. Recently, the Lions managed to edge past the Tiger-Cats in a bit of a squeaker, 33-30. But hey, don't forget that back in August, the Tiger-Cats sprang a surprise, toppling the Lions with a rather definitive 30-13 victory.
But, as my dear old Dad used to say, “Son, that’s ancient history.” The Lions have been on a bit of a tear, sporting a 3-1 record this season. High spirits and high scores, the Lions way lately. On the other side, the Tiger-Cats, well, let's just say they're in more of a housecat phase. They're hungry for their first win at 0-4. Like my ex-wife’s cooking, somethin' just ain’t right.
Let's peek at recent performances. The Lions have been more consistent than my Aunt Gertrude's meatloaf, squeezing out a trio of wins only soured by that loss to the Argonauts. Now, the Tiger-Cats, bless their hearts, have had a real slog. They've been grabbin' defeat from the jaws of victory with more consistency than my diet plan failures.
In the grand scheme of the standings, the Lions are sitting pretty in the number 2 spot, while the Tiger-Cats have been demoted to what I affectionately refer to as "the cursing corner" - number 4 in the East.
Step away from emotions folks ‘cause here’s the thing; if this were a popularity contest, these two might be tied. But well, this is football, and I'm here to tell you, performance is all that counts. With recent performances, records, and positions in the standings accounted for, my prediction for this contest?
Albert’s Prediction: BC Lions by 7
