Wolfsburg by 1Listen, folks. The weather's cooling down but this Bundesliga matchup is anything but ice cold. Wolfsburg and Bochum should make for an interesting tussle.
Look at this Wolfsburg side, anchored well behind by goalkeepers Marius Müller and Kamil Grabara. Not exactly putting up a brick wall, but they're showing up. Some solid lads in the key players too: Jonas Wind, Denis Vavro, and Patrick Wimmer, all putting up decent ratings with Wimmer and Wind finding the back of the net recently.
Now meet the fellows from Bochum. Their custodian Timo Horn shows some great safe hands under the bar, and who doesn’t like a good underdog story right? Among the top players; Ivan Ordets and Bernardo should thread some nice passes, but the man earning his corn so far has been Giorgos Masouras with two goals. He is shooting on sight, that lad.
Historically, Wolfsburg seems to enjoy playing against Bochum, winning 3 out of the 4 last meetings, though the latter did manage to sneak in a victory - should give them some hope. Still, Wolfsburg’s overall past season record easily outshines Bochum’s, who seem to have more than a flair for stalemates. Recent results show a bit of a mixed bag for both teams, not exactly sky-high confidence stuff, but not rock-bottom either.
So how to separate these two? Not an easy task my friends, considering Bochum’s improved form lately up against Wolfsburg’s historically superior record in their head-to-heads. But life's not easy, so I’ll lean towards a game of tight margins rather than a rout.
