My Prediction
RB Leipzig by 1Ah, a delightful Bundesliga showdown awaits us: Bochum up against RB Leipzig. The goalkeepers will be quite busy, especially Péter Gulácsi and Maarten Vandevoordt for Leipzig and Patrick Drewes for Bochum. Gulácsi has been marginally better between the posts but let's not overlook Drewes' higher rating, although he couldn't conjure up as many saves as the Leipzig duo.
Leipzig's attacking trident of Simons, Openda, and Šeško looks sharper than my Sunday best, and their midfield maestro Kampl with his precise passing is worth mentioning. Bochum, meanwhile, have Bero and Hofmann leading the charge, with Bernardo doing the legwork in the middle but you know, you can't win a race driving a Reliant Robin.
The history between the two teams points to Leipzig having the upper hand, but as the saying goes, the ball is round. The only predictable thing about football is its unpredictability. That said, Leipzig's regular season record is closer to a lion's roar than a kitten's mew, while Bochum's...well, let's just say they've seen better days.
Bochum's recent success against St Pauli might boost their morale a wee bit, but Leipzig's goal-fest against Werder Bremen followed by a narrow defeat to Stuttgart makes them a hard nut to crack, not to mention their victorious past encounters against Bochum.
Peering into my crystal ball, I'm foreseeing a Leipzig victory. Not a landslide per se but a hard-fought win nonetheless. Our Albert’s Prediction: RB Leipzig by 1.
