My Prediction
Eintracht Frankfurt by 1I hope you've got your popcorn ready because this one's going to be a nail-biter. We're talking Eintracht Frankfurt, the folks favored to win, squaring off against Borussia Dortmund. The culprits between the sticks are none other than Kevin Trapp and Gregor Kobel, and they've both had their mitts full this season, with Trapp making quite a showing.
Eintracht Frankfurt will be riding the momentum of Omar Marmoush and Mario Götze who've been lighting the lamp like nobody's business this season. Marmoush is downright scary with those eight shots on target, and kudos to Götze and that near-perfect passing accuracy.
Borussia Dortmund will be depending on Julian Brandt and Serhou Guirassy to break through Frankfurt's defenses. Brandt, in particular, has been precision personified with his passing, and Guirassy's not too bad himself.
Let's take a gander at the history books. The boys from Dortmund have had the upper hand in recent meetings, but Frankfurt's certainly no pushover. Based on the regular season records, Frankfurt has been the more consistent team, although Dortmund can be a troublesome team on its day.
Checking out Dortmund's recent form, they've had quite the roller coaster ride, haven't they? A coune of glorious victories mixed with some bitter defeats. Frankfurt, on the other hand, is coming off a fantastic victory against Freiburg, and they've shown they're no strangers to uphill struggles.
Now, please remember that I, Albert, have an uncanny ability to predict outcomes with absolute certainty (cough). So, I've crunched the numbers, read amidst the tea leaves, called upon the sports gods and...drumroll...
