My Prediction
Athletico by 1Our two contenders here are Athletico and Atlético Goianiense. Not to be confused, folks - though obviously someone was having a bit of a laugh when they named them.
In keeper town, Athletico's Mycael sports a robust 6.86 rating and 11 saves. Nice work there, Mycael. Not to be outdone, Atlético Goianiense showcases Ronaldo - not that Ronaldo - playing some solid defense with a 7.67 rating and 14 saves.
Athletico has been blessed with some talented men on the field - or they've just got a great recruitment policy, who knows? There's Julimar, a goal-seeking missile with a 7.53 rating, 3 goals, and 5 shots on goal. Then, there's Nikão with a 7.42 rating and 1 goal. And let’s not forget Tomás Cuello, with a 7.30 rating and a goal to his name.
Atlético Goianiense is fielding Alix Vinicius, our pass accuracy expert with a 7.85 rating, and the man with the moniker straight out of a romance novel, Gabriel Baralhas, with a neat 7.40 rating. Rounding them off is Luiz Fernando, with a 7.23 rating proving he's more than just a pretty name.
Looking at their past encounters, Athletico seems to have a knack for edging past Atlético Goianiense, with a couple of 2-1 victories under their belt. Records show that Atlético Goianiense's regular season hasn't been pretty - I've seen cheerier horror movies. On the other hand, Athletico is having a decent time of it, with more wins than losses.
If recent form were a blind date, I reckon Atlético Goianiense would've left early - a few scoreless draws and losses don't exactly scream "second date material". Athletico, despite some skids, managed to punctuate the gloom with a few bright wins, the latest against Atlético Mineiro.
