Looking at this faceoff, we've got the Hawthorn Hawks going up against the Greater Western Sydney Giants. No need to adjust your TV sets, it's not a David and Goliath reenactment, but it could seem like it at times.

The Giants barrelled their way into victory against the Hawks last time they squared-off, back in August 2024 with a slim two points lead. That's less than what they give away in charity events. But let's not hold it against them because when they aren't handing out freebies, the Giants have been taking punches like a pro, riding a perfect 2-0 record so far this season.

Then we have the unblemished Hawthorn Hawks standing at 3-0. They've been flying high since the beginning of the season, but let's not forget, there's a lot of gravity coming from that perfect win record. And boy, have you seen them play? It's the kind of football that gets parents to start enrolling their kids in chess clubs.

You would think that traditionally, Giants should squish Hawks but not on the AFL field, my friend. If there's one thing Hawthorn has proved in recent years, it's that they love nothing better than a bully. They even have the number one spot in AFL 2025 to prove it while the Giants are trailing back at #4.

So, if I were to put my reputation (and my imaginary savings) on the line, I'd say the Hawks will kick some Giants this time around. This 'Albert' who asked to remain anonymous, engraved his prediction on my toast this morning, saying...
