Sabalenka in straight sets.
Ooh, I feel the pull of the stage as we prepare for this showdown in the quarterfinals of the Miami Open! We've got the tennis supernova, Aryna Sabalenka, ranked numero uno in the tournament, ready to cross rackets with Qinwen Zheng, our 9th seed. Both the ladies have been brandishing their rackets with quite some flair lately.
Now, I'm not the guy who keeps a diary of past matches but it seems Sabalenka has turned the court into her personal runway every time she's faced Zheng. Beating her not once, not twice, but four times! More disheartening for Zheng, Sabalenka has clean swept her in three of those face-offs. A victory march all the way, folks... Sorry, pardon my excitement.
Taking a quick dip into Zheng's recent results pool, she seems to have found a decent rhythm. Aside from a hiccup against Świątek, she's been serving love to her opponents. But let's not pop the champagne for her just yet.
On the other side of the court, Sabalenka's also been keeping her playing tees crispy clean. Besides that single set loss to Andreeva, she’s run the show. Pretty consistent at serving love, and who doesn't want consistency in life, right?
I could surely use some of that stability with my coffee machine. But let’s not divert, back to tennis - remember folks, consistency = love.
Without further ado, and keeping you all from any more of my bad coffee-machine jokes, I lay my cards down. If my crystal ball is to be trusted, and it usually is...
Albert's Prediction: Sabalenka in straight sets.
