Bordeaux Bègles by 7Oh boy, get your popcorn ready for this sensationally grueling Semi-finals clash between the Bordeaux Bègles and Toulon. History shows us that these gladiators have had some dicey exchanges in the past, with each team triumphing over the other on several occasions. Quite the drama brewing here, don't you think?
However, might we point out, Bordeaux Bègles have been playing a different game this season. They're flying high in the #2 spot in the standings, having shown a better regular-season performance, and I reckon they didn't earn that by just sitting around and admiring the sunset.
Now, I acknowledge Toulon had a rather eye-catching win over Bordeaux Bègles recently, which probably has their morale running high. You know what they say about a team with a pep in their step. However, their inconsistency in recent games has been like me trying to stick to a diet - disappointing just when it seemed to go well.
Anyhoo, this is the playoffs, the golden ticket to glory, and I believe Bordeaux Bègles, having apparently gobbled up some magic beans, have more fuel in their tank. They've just been more consistent overall, enough to make them the favorites if you ask me, not that you did.
Now if we're down to prediction time, and don't hold my toes to the fire here, I'd say Bordeaux Bègles have a little extra in the old rugby tool belt. So, here goes...
