My Prediction
Empoli by 1Ah, the enticing matchup of Empoli versus Hellas Verona has quite kept my interest piqued. I'll say, Hellas Verona's home-field hasn't exactly been fortified this season, their record telling a rather woeful tale of 9 wins, 7 draws, and 21 losses. Their past matchups against Empoli have been a mixed bag with the last head-to-head resulting in a thorough thrashing by Empoli, 4 to 1. Ouch.
Lorenzo Montipò in goal for Hellas Verona is doing his part with a 6.88 rating and 9 saves, but the defense in front of him could really use a motivational speech. And as far as field players go, the one-two combo of Darko Lazović and Domagoj Bradarić does seem to have them dancing, although their goal tally seems to have taken a nap.
On the other side of the pitch, Empoli isn't exactly bragging about their regular season performance either, boasting 6 wins, 13 draws, and 18 losses. However, their recent win might put a little pep in their step. Between the sticks, Devis Vásquez needs to step up his game with his 6.52 rating and a mere 5 saves to his name.
Their field players, however, prove they're not just here to make up numbers. Jacopo Fazzini, who must have a lucky charm in his boot, has 2 goals from 3 shots on goal. Ardian Ismajli is also playing his part, proving to be quite the pass master with an accurate pass percentage of 88.4.
