My Prediction
Manchester United by 2Let's dive into this, shall we? Manchester United, popularly known as the Red Devils, are going toe-to-toe with Ipswich Town, those plucky boys from Suffolk.
André Onana is the shot stopper for United who’s certainly put a lid on the goal with his 7.17 rating and 15 saves. Ipswich, however, can't decide and have Alex Palmer and Arijanet Murić in the line of fire, with ratings of 7.25 and 6.50, respectively. You can decide who's holding the short stick here.
Ipswich Town's notable soldiers include Conor Townsend, Liam Delap, and Julio Enciso. The maximum you'll get from Townsend is accuracy with his 70.0% accurate pass rate, as he couldn't find the goal if it was the only thing in a desert. Delap, on the other hand, has netted in a couple taking his rating to a 7.10, but his goal count is a bit like my paycheck... disappointing. Enciso lands his shots on target that only gets him as far as a 7.07 rating.
United’s offense is spearheaded by Bruno Fernandes, Lisandro Martínez, and Patrick Dorgu. Fernandes boasts a 7.93 rating with a solitary goal and 79.4% accurate pass rate. Martínez also has a goal with a 7.50 rating, while Dorgu has been focusing on keeping the ball close with an 81.7% accurate pass rate but hasn't bothered shooting on goal. Folks, if goal scoring was a pizza topping, these guys would order a plain cheese pizza.
In the previous face-off, they ended in an armistice with a 1-1 draw. Guess both goalkeepers needed a break that day. Looking at their regular season records, United is 8-6-12, while Ipswich is 3-8-15. I've seen better records at a garage sale, honestly.
Recently, United seems like they've been practicing against garden gnomes with results including a 2-2 draw against Everton and a 1-0 loss to the Hotspur. Ipswich, however, seems like they have been playing with anvils tied to their legs, tasting defeat not so sweet with Spurs, Southampton, and Liverpool, with scores that look like a pinball machine.
