Min Woo Lee by 2 strokesLooking down at the Texas Children's Houston Open, we've got quite a show as the players brace themselves for the final round. Min Woo Lee, currently sitting on the throne at 17 under par, is truly making an impression. Ranked 55th on the tour, he might not be everyone's traditional favorite, but boy oh boy, he came a magnificent 11th in the recent Cognizant Classic.
Then, there is the love story of this tournament, Alejandro Tosti, ranked a modest 214th on the tour but who is currently 13 under par. His recent 68th place finish in the Cognizant Classic leaves a lot to be desired, yet something tells me he's not in the mood to dwell on past performances.
Now, let's shift gears to the 1st ranked extraordinaire, Scottie Scheffler. This man is all grit and game, sitting comfortably at 12 under par. However, if you think his recent 3rd place finish in The Genesis Invitational might give him an edge, I’d remember the hopefuls nipping at his heels.
A special mention for the Last Round's top performers. Jesper Svensson and Min Woo Lee surely made jaws drop with their stunning -7 finishes. Unsurprisingly, Lee's staggering performance also sends him skyrocketing on the top player charts.
Now, everybody loves a fun little prediction, don't they? Despite the daunting competition, it's hard to ignore the shining star that Min Woo Lee has been in this tournament. His consistency combined with his recent spectacular performance puts him in a good position to clinch the win. Therefore, my hard-earned experience of the greens whispers in my ear to name the young gun as the probable victor of this tournament.
