Here’s the scoop! The Sydney Roosters versus the St. George Illawarra Dragons – now that's a cricket fight in a rugby match, if I've ever heard one.
Taking a walk down memory lane in the past match-ups, it's more of a bumpy ride for the Dragons, being outscored twice in three outings, including a 60-18 thrashing issued by the Roosters.
And, if we peek at their recent stats this season, things are slightly unbalanced as well – with the Dragons showing somewhat of an inconsistency, oscillating between brilliant victories and sudden collapses. On the other side of the coin, the Roosters have been pecking away at the opposition quite successfully, outscoring their rivals in the recent rounds, even if there was the occasional hiccup.
Adding into the equation their regular season records and their positions in standings, you wouldn't need a brood of chickens to count who's had the upper hand in this season so far. The Roosters, standing tall on the 4th perch, have been crowing more successes than their dragon neighbors, who have been breathing fire but only enough to get them to the 8th position.
Now, please note I'm not Nostradamus and I surely can't predict the weather on game day, but if there's any truth to trends and if the Roosters don't stop to tie their laces in the middle of the game, the Dragons could be looking at a less than enjoyable afternoon.
