Edmonton Oilers by 2Don't change that dial because we're about to dive right into my predictions for this upcoming colossal clash between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers.
Now, let's talk net minders. For the Stars, we've got Jake Oettinger who's done a commendable job this season with a 90.9% save record, flashing some stellar moves in the playoffs as well with a slight drop to 90.6%. His backup Casey DeSmith isn't far behind either. However, Edmonton's Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard seemed to have packed their A game for the playoffs with save percentages of 90.3% and 88.8% respectively, slightly above their regular season stats.
Time to gawk at the big guns. Stars should probably rename themselves Galaxies with Mikko Rantanen showcasing stellar playoff form with 9 goals and 12 assists, followed by Thomas Harley and Roope Hintz. On the Oilers end, McDavid and Draisaitl are absolutely lighting up the playoffs combining for 11 goals and a whopping 32 assists. Special shout out to Evander Kane, who seems to have left his disappointing -6 plus minus from last season in the dust.
