So let's graze past this menagerie of numbers and have a gander at what's cooking in the upcoming epic bout between Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues. It's all about the men between the pipes, now isn't it? Calgary's got Dustin Wolf and Dan Vladar, both of them pulling off rather nice percentages, standing at 91.8 and 93.3 respectively. And at the other end for the Blues, we have Jordan Binnington and Joel Hofer with the commendable but slightly less impressive stats, standing at 89.6 and 90.2.
As we scroll through the Flames' roster, there's Jonathan Huberdeau, that's a man who knows how to find the back of the net. And, oh look, Matt Coronato and Blake Coleman aren't far behind. Color me impressed.
On the Blues side of things though, Dylan Holloway and Robert Thomas are having themselves quite a party right now with their stats, aren't they? And Jordan Kyrou, well, that man's on fire too. Time to get the marshmallows ready!
Once we hop on our time machine and look at yesteryears, St. Louis appears to have the upper hand in the past skirmishes with Calgary. While they may own the past, both teams roll into this matchup with an identical regular season record. A mirror image, if you will.
Recently, the Flames have been showing a fair bit of sizzle with a string of victories, with the exception of their latest defeat to the Blues. St Louis meanwhile seems to have found their rhythm at home while still looking for their dancing shoes on the road.
Now, I'm no fortune-teller (I could've been, but the crystal ball was on back order), but taking all this gibberish...uh, I mean data, the final punt goes something like this:
