Eagles Soar Over Rams Thanks to Barkley's Ground DominanceWell, what we have here goes beyond a duel in the city of brotherly love. The Philadelphia Eagles triumphed over the Los Angeles Rams, defying the Rams’ past winning streak. While Stafford's arm seemed warmed up with two passing touchdowns and 324 yards, it was the ground supremacy of Saquon Barkley that stole the day. I mean, the man might as well have set up camp in the end zone with his 205 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.
The game was a nail-biter, with the Rams determinedly matching the Eagles blow for blow, like two scrappy kids in the schoolyard. But the Eagles pulled off another touchdown and field goal in the final quarter, proving that they were too much for the Rams to handle.
Now, the Rams might be licking their wounds especially when they totted up more total yards, pass yards, and first downs than the Eagles. But here's where it gets messy - no thanks to the Rams fumbling the ball twice! That's got to sting, folks.
Even with the odds stacked against them, the odds makers were unfazed. The Eagles were the favorites with a neat 6.5 points spread and a whopping $1.34 payout. The Rams, despite their earlier crisp performances, fell short this time, making the history of past match-ups suggestive of a rocky road ahead.
Harry Houdini himself would've been proud of the Eagles’ escape acts in their recent outings, a trend that continued with today's win. Recapping it all in a sentence, I'd say the Eagles soared high, and the Rams... well, they ran out of gas.

My Prediction
Philadelphia Eagles by 7Let's dive straight into this juicy matchup. The Los Angeles Rams are strutting into Eagle territory. Now would you look at those regular season records, the Eagles boasting a superior 14-3 against the Rams’ not-so-shabby 10-7. The Eagles have had an indisputably more successful run, and it doesn’t exactly go unnoticed.
Looking back into the annals of history, we see the Eagles ruling the roost more often than not. It’s akin to watching a schoolyard bully take candy from a baby. Yikes. Our last two matchups witnessed the Eagles flying high with scores of 37 to 20 and 23 to 14. Yet, we cannot purely rely on the past; after all, they say history doesn’t always repeat itself, right?
Considering some recent play, the Rams marked a decent victory against Minnesota, with an excellent defense barring the Vikings from scoring much. Meanwhile, the Eagles displayed an impressive performance against the Green Bay Packers, leaving cheesehead fans far from pleased. Then again, that's just another Sunday for an Eagles fan. The Eagles keep soaring, and their position in the NFL rankings attests to that.
But it’s not all Eagles today. The Rams are holding their own as the top dogs in the NFC West. Far from a fairy tale storyline, it’s a sharpen-your-claws kind of battle even a grouchy mother-in-law can appreciate!
However, we have got to remember that Philadelphia, besides having an edge with the spread and payout, is also playing on their home turf. Friendly fans, familiar weather and the home-cooked meal factor should not be taken lightly.
Taking all these factors into account, my bet’s on the Eagles taking this one. With their current form and the love from their loyal Philly fan base, it looks like the Rams will have to pack up their horns and head back to Los Angeles with a loss.
