Kansas State Wildcats by 17We're staring down the barrel of a matchup featuring the Arkansas Little Rock Trojans and the Kansas State Wildcats. Now, I may not have a crystal ball, but given the facts and the fuzz on my lucky rabbit's foot, let's take a look at how this might pan out.
First, let's talk Trojans. Lamariyee Williams seems like she's come out of a phone booth this season, trading in her average last season stats for a superhuman 13.0 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game this month. Good on ya, Lamariyee! Faith Lee has delivered, as the faithful do, maintaining her strong output from last season and running up an average of 15.5 points per month. However, while Jayla Brooks put out her fair share on the hardwood last season, the fall off in points per game this month gives me some pause.
On to the Wildcats. Ayoka Lee, fresh from a strong season, has apparently decided it's not enough and boosted her average to a gravity-defying 28.0 points per game last month. Alongside her, Temira Poindexter is contributing a not-too-shabby 17.5 points per game. Serena Sundell not to be outdone is throwing in a healthy 9.0 points and 7.0 assists per game. If they maintain this pace, the basketball stadium might as well be a cat run.
Now for some history: last match had the Wildcats skinning the Trojans with a comfortable 77 to 39 victory. Flash-forward to recent results, the Trojans have been faltering, hardly a good look. Meanwhile, the Wildcats haven't lost their snarl; they've been clawing their way through opponent after opponent, showing they're not here to play nice.
