Illinois Fighting Illini by 4
Ah, the sweet symphony of squeaking sneakers is in the air. We've got a blockbuster here, folks, a Big Ten Tournament final between Wisconsin Badgers and #13 Illinois Fighting Illini. I know you're not here to listen to my poetic musings. So let's talk business.
The Badgers have some decent shooters in their den, I gotta tell ya. AJ Storr has been lighting it up, averaging 17.8 points along with some decent rebounds per game over the last month. Chucky Hepburn and Steven Crowl have also been putting up admirable numbers. However, the Badgers have had a bit of a mixed bag of a season with a 22-12 record.
On the flip side, we've got the Illini, coming in hot with more wins in the regular season. They've been favoring more the taste of victory champagne and less of defeat's bitter pill. Have you seen Terrence Shannon play over the last month? That fellow is on fire, pouring in over 25 points per game. They've also got Marcus Domask polishing the boards and dropping dimes.
History favors the Illini as well. In their last three encounters with the Badgers, they've come out on top, giving the cheeseheads a bit of a grilling.
In light of that, my friends, I'd have to say, Illinois might just have the upper hand here. So without further ado, here's my prediction:
