Florida Gators by 2Settle down, sports fans. We've got a showdown between two #1 seeded behemoths, the Florida Gators and the Houston Cougars, they've both got the same impressive regular season record of 30-4, which makes this matchup as unpredictable as a chameleon in a Skittles factory.
The Gators are a hungry bunch. Walter Clayton, cue the ominous music, has been chopping down the competition like a lumberjack in a redwood forest with his mouth-watering 24.6-point average per game. And, let's not forget about our very own rebound king, Thomas Haugh, who's been serving up boards like an all-you-can-eat buffet with his 7.4 rebounds per game. Alijah Martin and Will Richard have also had their share of the limelight adding their hefty contribution to the Gator's formidable honor roll.
Well, if we cross over to Houston, you'll find LJ Cryer leading the line. Cryer's been putting up numbers like he's studying for an advanced calculus exam (18.6 points on average this season), and Milos Uzan rarely lets the side down either with his 4.4 assists per game. Emanuel Sharp and J'wan Roberts rounding off the Cougar quartet aren’t just there for decoration – they mean business.
Looking at recent results, Florida has clambered over the likes of Auburn Tigers and Texas Tech Red Raiders without much hitch. On the other hand, Houston Cougars have just pulled off a narrow win over the fearsome Duke Blue Devils and have swatted away the Tennessee Volunteers like they were bothersome flies. So, both legions march into this battle with momentum in their boots.
