Central Michigan Chippewas Upset Win over Favored Western Michigan Broncos, 16-14What an unexpected turn of events we had at the Central Michigan vs. Western Michigan game folks! The Chippewas pulled off the upset, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat with a narrow 16-14 win over the heavily favored Broncos. Despite the Broncos maintaining a clean slate with zero turnovers and tossing no interceptions, they just couldn't outrun the Chippewas.
The Broncos' offense mustered only 184 total yards, contrasting starkly with Chippewas mammoth 309 yards. Central Michigan’s QB Jadyn Glasser, though interception-prone, outpaced the Broncos duo with 140 passing yards. Central’s Marion Lukes, racking up 93 rushing yards, added to the Broncos’ woes.
After a two field-goal stag party in Q2 by Tristan Mattson, the Chippewas led 13-0. Reducing the lead to 16-14 in Q4, the Bronco’s Buckley attempted a comeback with a touchdown but fell short. An upset indeed given the fact that the Broncos were expected to win by a comfy 6.5 point margin.
No time for the Broncos to lick their wounds though, as the Eastern Michigan Eagles will be knocking on their doors shortly. On the other side of the field, the victorious Chippewas need to carry this momentum into their upcoming clash with the Northern Illinois Huskies.

First off, the Western Michigan Broncos, with their gritty performance and better season record, are squaring off against the Central Michigan Chippewas, who have been playing, well, like a Chippewa. If their recent results are any indication, it's like watching a one-legged man in a butt-kicking competition.
Hayden Wolff at the helm for the Broncos has been throwing more rainbows than a Skittles commercial with 142.8 passing efficiency, 7 TDs and 5 INTs. Now, over with the Chippewas, we've got Jadyn Glasser... who seems to have misplaced his glasses. His passing efficiency is a charming 101.1, bagging zero TDs and 2 INTs.
