Alright, ladies and gentlemen, buckle up for a New York Knicks face-off against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Take a look at the Knicks. We've got Karl-Anthony Towns scoring a buffet of points with a side of rebounds, the guy averaged 26.2 points and 14.5 rebounds last month. Then there's Jalen Brunson, who dropped 27.3 points per game along with 7.2 assists on average. Josh Hart and his double-figure points and rebounds should also get a nod. The Knicks, I'll tell ya, they are like a well-dressed salad, a delightful mix of everything good.
Over at Philly, Joel Embiid is a force to be reckoned with, bagging 27.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game last month. We can't sleep on Tyrese Maxey either, with his 27.7 points per game and 6.8 dimes to boot. Paul George and Kelly Oubre Jr. add seasoning to the sauce of this team.
Now, we get down to the past meetings between these basketball ventriloquists. Recent history suggests a close contest with both teams registering wins.
Judging from the regular season records, the Knicks seem to be cruising while the 76ers are stuttering a bit, as Yankees dominate with a 26-15 record while the Sixers lag behind at 15-23. Also, the Rumble in the Concrete Jungle, i.e. the Eastern Conference positions these basketball gladiators at #3 for Knicks and a less impressive #11 for the 76ers.
Looking at their recent results, it's apparent the Knicks have been slippin' and slidin' but managed a solid thumping against Milwaukee. The 76ers, however, have been having a "rocky" time in their aptly-named city with only one win visible in their last five contests.
With all said and done, get ready for a heavy bout folks. I do have a knack for prophecy and my prediction goes like this:
