Oklahoma City Thunder by 10All right folks, let's break this down. Now the Clippers may find themselves dancing in the shadow of Oklahoma City Thunder, who have been pretty nifty on the game floor. Their regular-season record of 27-5 is no joke, and you can bet those glossy stats aren't coming out of thin air. The Thunder, who are "#1 Western Conference" for a reason, have been sauntering around in the winner's circle quite a bit this season.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Thunder, has, you know, casually been waltzing around with an average of 32.4 points per game in the last month, slightly improving his season stats of 30.9 points per game. Now, if that doesn't impress you, I'm not sure what will. And do we even talk about Jalen Williams hitting those 20.1 points for fun?
Now, I'm not saying the Clippers are descending into obscurity... Yet. James Harden and Norman Powell are doing their thing, averaging 22.6 and 25.6 points per game last month respectively. But then, when you compare them with the Thunder, they might as well be using a shrink ray.
Looking at the past matchups between these two teams, the Thunder have won 3 out of the last 5 games which may not be a significant number, but as my accountant keeps telling me, every little bit counts. The Clippers have been a little inconsistent on the recent front, nicking some wins, but also been handed fairly humiliating defeats.
In conclusion, I'm putting my fictional money on the Thunder. They're hotter than a firecracker right now and not just because the ladies love them. Clippers, on the other hand, let's just say they might want to consider different approaches... Like maybe scoring more points?
