Now this is an interesting match-up between Atlanta Hawks and Denver Nuggets. Pour yourself some popcorn folks, this game is gonna be spicy.
The Hawks' young sensation Trae Young has been pretty much consistent with his scoring, commanding the court with an average of 22.5 points per game this past month. The same goes for his teammates, Jalen Johnson and De'Andre Hunter who have been shooting the lights out with averages of 19.6 and 22.3 points respectively. Their performances this season are as consistent as my neighbor's holiday light show. Now, don't get me started on Clint Capela. He's been cleaning the glass more thoroughly than my window cleaner, racking up around 10.1 rebounds a game this past month.
Moving onto the Nuggets, they're being led by the bulldozer himself, Nikola Jokic. This guy's been dropping numbers as high as my golf score, averaging 32.2 points in the last month. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. have been aces in their own right too, scoring an average of 22.0 and 18.9 points respectively during the past month.
Looking at historical performances, it seems Denver has had Atlanta's number more often than my telemarketers have mine, coming out on top in all recent games.
In the regular season, the Nuggets have managed to clinch a couple more wins than the Hawks. Recent performances also have been in favor of the Nuggets, seeming like they've caught a second wind after the mistrust my holiday food scale showed me after Christmas.
Considering the standings, both teams are fairly neck-and-neck, positioned as Atlanta at #5 in Eastern Conference and Denver at #6 in the Western Conference.
Add it all up and consider the wind direction, phase of the moon, and whether or not I remembered to water my plants, and we've got ourselves a prediction.
