San Jose Earthquakes by 1
If we take a gander at the two teams, it's like comparing a sports car to a hatchback. The San Jose Earthquakes have their goalkeeper, Daniel, making barrier-like a brick wall with his 7.57 rating and 15 saves. The New York Red Bulls have Carlos Coronel, who, bless his heart, is trying with his 6.43 rating and 3-save record.
The Bulls top players appear to have forgotten that the goal of the game is to score goals with Kyle Duncan, Daniel Edelman, Alexander Hack and others unable to log a goal. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Emil Forsberg gave it the old college try though, each netting one in their pockets.
Over at the Earthquakes corner, Cristian Arango and his 7.53 rating is showing promise with a single goal, supported by Beau Leroux, who's netted two -- it’s like watching an episode of a telenovela with these spirited goal attempts.
Recalling their last rendezvous on Sat Apr 08 2023, the teams found themselves in a draw, a finish as exhilarating as a mid-day nap. The Earthquakes though seem to have sharpened their spikes recently, even managing to topple FC Dallas 4-2, while the Bulls... they seem to be in the business of sharing points, with recent draws against Minnesota United FC and Toronto FC.
Mulling over this delightful pot of stats, my dollars would be on the Earthquakes. Their recent rally in performance coupled with the slightly more aggressive front reveals a team with a hunger that even a pack of Red Bulls may struggle to contain.
