Newell's Old Boys by 1Ho-hum...I guess it's time we talk about the upcoming matchup between Newell's Old Boys and Huracán. Now don't go throwing popcorn at the screen, folks, because this one's set to be a real seat-grasper... in your favourite dentist's waiting room.
Huracán's been having a fair season, a bit like lukewarm water; it's not too bad once you get used to it. We've got reliable hands in goal with Hernán Galíndez, who has ten saves to his name and a decent rating of 6.92. On the field, Matko Miljevic's been carrying the weight like an ant with a breadcrumb, boasting a 7.75 rating and an impressive three goals off eight shots on goal.
Let's switch the channel to Newell's Old Boys, where we've got a real paper tiger in the goal with Keylor Navas. This keeper's got a sparkling 8.75 rating and a cool 31 saves. I'm shaking in anticipation over here. Luciano Lollo and Víctor Cuesta have shown they can work the field when they're not too busy applying hair gel, each securing a goal to their name.
Their last tête-à-tête back in the sunny days of November '24 saw Huracán outscore Newell's 4 to 2. I'd say this part could hold a key to the future, if we believe in the mysteries of the universe. Although, if we wholly focus on the recent form, Huracán is just about holding water at a slightly more efficient rate than Newell's is sinking it.
