What an interesting match-up we have in the Liga Profesional between Belgrano and Huracán. Now, you'd think with Huracán having the superior regular season record at 12-10-5, and having recently bested Belgrano at their last meet, they'd saunter in here full of confidence. However, football is a fickle mistress and that isn't always the case.
Belgrano's form hasn't been terrible either. They've had some tough encounters recently. They just lost out by a whisker in their battle with Rosario Central, managed a draw against Estudiantes de La Plata, and let's not forget their victory over San Lorenzo. A mixed bag there, but there's a tenacious streak running through that team.
As for Huracán, their recent results have been less than stellar. A loss to Vélez Sarsfield stings, they couldn't find a way past Talleres, and Atlético Tucumán put them to sword with a 4-2 victory. Their lone victory over Julien Brun is slightly less impressive when you consider Brun's dire form.
This game is likely going to be a nudge-nudge, wink-wink kind of affair, with both teams closely matched. Both teams have the talent to turn this whole thing on its head. Yet, considering the recent form and previous outcomes, I have to tell it like I see it.
