Godoy Cruz by 1Well isn't this as exciting as watching paint dry? Godoy Cruz and Rosario Central are meeting again. Last time, they put us all into a deep snooze fest with a 1-1 draw. Riveting, right?
Let's see, now. Rosario Central's regular season record stands at 8 wins, 8 draws, and 11 losses. Somebody's got a thing for the number 8. On one side, you'd see more success with a sundial than waiting for them to score, based on their recent loss to River Plate. But then they bounced back with a win against Belgrano, because apparently, miracles do happen.
Let's turn our attention to Godoy Cruz. 8 wins, 11 draws, 8 losses - the symmetry is mildly interesting I suppose. Their recent performance makes me wonder if they hired a wizard. Trashing Banfield and Instituto Córdoba with multiple goals like they're playing a schoolyard pickup game? That's not supposed to happen.
Though considering their past face-off ended in a draw, and both have an equal number of wins this season, it's almost as if they're two peas in a pod. But looking at Godoy Cruz's recent form, it appears the sleeping giant has awakened.
