Oh, the excitement is in the air as Atlético Tucumán and Central Córdoba are about to smash heads once again. From our little birdie at the stat-corner, we learned that in the previous tête-à-tête, the Atlético Tucumán swept Central Córdoba off the grass 2-nil. Might be déjà vu or just a fluke, we shall find out very soon.
Between the sticks, we got Luis Ingolotti for Central Córdoba, with a decent 6.73 rating and 14 saves this season, think of him as the failsafe. Turning our spotlight onto Atlético Tucumán, they have Tomás Durso, 7.20 rating with 12 saves. Experienced lad, has a sixth sense for where the ball's going to be, as far as I see.
For the pride of Central Córdoba, Kevin Vázquez and Alexis Segovia have been worth their weight in gold this season. Also let's not forget about Luis Miguel Angulo and Favio Cabral, who have been finding the back of the net quite a bit, scoring 2 goals each.
On the opposite end, Guillermo Acosta and Renzo Tesuri have been consistently in form for Atlético Tucumán. And of course, Luis Miguel Rodríguez and Mateo Bajamich are the ones creating all the troubles for the opposition, netting a goal each last month.
With the historical outcome and individual brilliance noted, the wind, my friends, seems to be favoring Atlético Tucumán. Central Córdoba has had a rough journey in recent times - they've tasted the bitterness of defeat twice in the last five matches they've played. Whereas Tucumán, while not faring much better, at least managed one resounding victory amongst the draws and losses.
Either case, it's a game of 90 minutes, and anything can happen in that time, but if I had to put my chips down, I'd say our bet is on Atlético Tucumán. Remember though, it's football, and if I'd learnt anything, it's to expect the unexpected.
Albert’s Prediction: Atlético Tucumán by 1
