Benfica by 3Dive into your armchairs, folks, as we're headed for a clash between the mighty Benfica and the struggling Boavista. When you look at these two teams, there's no denying Benfica's superiority.
In goal, Boavista's César Dutra's been under a barrage this season, managing a lowly 12 saves with a 6.65 rating. Now, our Anatoliy Trubin ain't no stopper of Lester Piggott's calibre, he's only made 6 saves with a 6.53 rating. But then again, Benfica's defences aren't leaking like the perpetually wet socks at a student's dorm room.
And oh boy, the talent disparity is about as equal as a one-legged race. Boavista's Róbert Boženík and Salvador Agra have put up some respectable numbers. But they square up against Benfica's superstar foursome of Vangelis Pavlidis, Orkun Kökçü, Samuel Dahl and Bruma, who've been racking up those stats faster than a teenager’s phone bill.
History isn't kind to Boavista here. Just take a look at those past matchups. With three wins out of the last four, Benfica's been having their pick of the litter like a stray cat in a fish market.
This season's been a right disaster for Boavista, and their record 2-6-14 stands testament. They've been dropping points like a toddler with a hot potato. Meanwhile, Benfica look like they’ve been sipping on some sort of magic potion thru the year, posting a magnificent 16-2-4 record.
Recent form? Boavista couldn't find a win if it fell into their laps, while Benfica have been humming along like a well-oiled machine. It's a bit like comparing an old jalopy to a Rolls Royce.
