Club América by 1Even though my heart screams it out, I'm forced to stifle a loud rallying cry for Pachuca, bless their hearts. Recent form, they've had their ups and downs, like a telenovela romance. There was that cheeky win over Club Tijuana, and a thrilling teeth-clenched draw against Mazatlán FC. But the sting of defeat against Toluca raises some serious questions.
Club América, on the other hand, is strutting around like they own the joint. And why not? They've won most of their recent matches. The sleek, effortless victory over Tigres UANL, the poetic trouncing of Atlas; even the grudging draw against CD Guadalajara seems palatable given the context. It's like watching a peacock in mating season, folks, flamboyant and irresistible.
But, let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we? Ruminate a bit over past matches between these two. Yes, Club América had their fair share of triumphs, but let's not forget, Pachuca is no shrinking violet. They held their own on a few occasions, even managed to sneak a win back in February '24. Thrilling stuff!
