Taking into consideration the heroes between these two poles, we've got a bit of a toss-up. In goal, both teams are doing alright, with Osasuna's Sergio Herrera and Getafe's David Soria nearly neck and neck in ratings, with Herrera having a few extra saves under his gloves.
When we shift focus to the players out there actually trying to put the ball in the net, things start to get interesting. Osasuna's Ante Budimir has a favorable rating and most importantly, he's finding the back of the net with 3 goals so far. Abel Bretones isn't too far off his tail. And let's not forget these are backed by an impressive regular season record. You wouldn't want to take this lot lightly.
However, Getafe isn't just here for the hot dogs and half-time show. Omar Alderete and Diego Rico have proven they're not just biding their time out there, putting up shots that keep goalkeepers on their toes. And it's Luis Milla who is putting bread on the table with a goal and a favorable rating.
Looking at the regular season records and recent results, the key-word is 'inconsistency'. However, Osasuna seem to be holding their ground pretty well compared to the noticeably swinging fortunes of Getafe. Osasuna throwing a 4 at poor Barcelona does not leave them unscathed.
The past dust-ups show a story of Getafe having the upper hand, with the most recent battle ending in Osasuna's favor. Past experiences however, only go so far, and if this were a battle of who struck who last, there wouldn't be teams left to play.
After putting the stats and teams in a metaphorical blender and slapping the "shuffle" button, on one hand we have an Osasuna that knows how to find the net, on the other, an unpredictable Getafe. Let's not forget Osasuna's recent triumph over Barcelona, quite the confidence booster if you ask me. Considering all this, my magic 8-ball is telling me that Osasuna could make Getafe eat their dust by a margin of 2.
Albert’s Prediction: Osasuna by 2
