Ak Bars Kazan by 1Alright, let's slice this up like a hot pie. We've got Dynamo Moscow lacing their skates against Ak Bars Kazan for game 4 of the second round playoffs, and the ice is smoking, let me tell you. Ak Bars is currently leading the series 2-1 so this is certainly going to be a tug of war.
Blinking at the goalkeeping stats is like staring directly into a solar eclipse. Nil stats across the board for both teams, making our lives so much harder - or, wait, maybe it's just a "may the best forward win" kind of day.
For Dynamo Moscow, the titanic trio: Cedric Paquette, Max Comtois, and Dylan Sikura are raring to smash some pucks into the net despite their less impressive playoff scores. Paquette, in particular, last season was chipping goals like a woodpecker on espresso – but this season, well, let's say he probably won't be putting that on his Christmas card.
Over at Ak Bars Kazan, Dmitrij Jaskin and Artyom Galimov are turning the ice into their personal playground, Jaskin especially with a whopping 36 goals this season - an unnerving figure for any team to face.
Looking at past skirmishes, it's been raining goals with less predictability than my aunt's cat's mood swings. The last encounter, however, landed in Dynamo's favor but previous duels have often favored Ak Bars.
Both Dynamo Moscow and Ak Bars have been biting and clawing their way through these playoffs with similar regular season records, both teams registering 42 wins. The recent form is about as easy to decipher as my last dating experience but does slightly tilt towards Ak Bars.
Considering the slightly more favorable payout, the scorcher of forwards in the Ak Bars line-up, their lead in the current playoffs, and the past matchups, I'm tilting the ice in favor of Kazan. However, it's going to be tighter than my waistband after a weekend barbecue binge. Here's the prediction to chew on:
